Welcome to parents.lgfl.net - supporting parents & carers

Our mission is the advancement of education and our ambition is that UK schools lead the world in digital innovation enabling children to achieve more whilst schools spend less. LGfL is uniquely positioned to help because as a charity, any profit is reinvested back into purchasing a wider portfolio of resources for our schools.

We may provide internet to your children's school, or web filtering, or low-cost devices to send home with students, or safeguarding guidance, or security products, or software licences, or curriculum support, or training, free-school meals checks or many other products and services. LGfL USO Explained

If your child(ren) attend a school with LGfL broadband they will hopefully be familiar with using the LGfL site during lessons at school. As a parent/carer you may want to explore some of the resources they have used whilst in school and explore additional resources they may be unfamiliar with.

When you (pupils and parents/carers) are off-grid ie using your home broadband, you will need to know your USO credentials to log in to our premium resources (BusyThings and J2e):- www.lgfl.net as shown in the image on the left. Once you are logged in, you will gain access to the aforementioned LGfL premium hosted resources.

If you are unsure of your child(ren)’s USO please enquire at your school (where they will be able to provide you with your child(ren)’s USO and password; please remind your child(ren) about the importance of keeping their passwords private ie only sharing with you as their parent/carer).

FSM/Pupil Premium Eligibility Checker

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to receive free meals as a result of a Government initiative. However, it is important for all parents/carers to test whether they would be entitled to free school meals if this scheme did not exist, because where parents are shown to be eligible, schools can claim extra Government funds to improve the school’s resources and provide a better service to children. Click here for "FAQs" (Frequently asked questions about Pupil Premium Eligibility checker).

If your child attends any school in England you can use LGfL's Eligibility Checker. The following information will need to be entered:

  • Parents' NI/NASS number

  • Parents' date of birth

  • Parents' full name

Click here to visit the Free School Meals Eligibility Checker for more details.

When the check is completed a 'Certificate of Eligibility' will be available for you to print or email to give to your child's school. (Note for schools who do not subscribe to the full LGfL service, they will be referred to as 'non-participating' schools).

eAdmissions

The Pan London eAdmissions System has been created by the London Local Authorites to provide a website hosted by LGfL where parents can easily find details about the schools maintained by the 33 London Local Authorities and Surrey County Council, and complete an application online.

Applying online for a school place is quick and easy; you can apply for your child’s school place online at www.eadmissions.org.uk.
